Acclaimed the world over, the Vail Valley offers exciting winter activities such as snowmobiling, sledding, tubing, ice skating, snowshoeing, snow-bike riding, and (yes!) hot-air ballooning. Be sure to check out our summer activities as well.
Cordillera offers an ice skating rink just 5 minutes from the Lodge. Skate rentals are available and complimentary hot beverages are served. Lights allow for night skating as well, and a sound system is provided to play your own music while you skate!
Cordillera Ice Skating rink is open weather permitted between mid- December & end of February, hours of opening weather depended as well. Please contact Guest Services for more information.

Enjoy snowshoeing on one of The Cordillera community private trails.
Experience a snowmobile tour through the scenic backcountry of Colorado. Tours range from a two-hour tour, including a hot cocoa break, to a full day of playing in the “powder stashes” and cruising the high ridges at over 10,000 feet. Nova Guides offers tours and rentals at Camp Hale, a historic World War II Alpine training camp. Sage Outdoor Adventures will take you into National Forest just north of Wolcott.
