Touching base with you regarding our wedding (Kimmich-Graf) that was held at the Lodge and Spa last Sunday, 9/16/12. As you can imagine, it can be a tough decision deciding where to hold your wedding as it is, after all, a once in a lifetime event. For us, it was a no-brainer. We got engaged at the Lodge and Spa in February when we came up for a ski trip and during our stay, the staff was absolutely amazing. They treated us like they genuinely cared about our comfort and happiness and we decided there and then that we could not possibly find another venue that would provide this level of service for us and our guests and booked our wedding while we were still on-site. Now that the wedding is over, I have to tell you, we were NOT disappointed.

From there we worked with Jennifer and later Angela to plan our wedding. Angela was incredibly responsive, warm, caring and super detail-oriented during our email exchanges. Leading up to the wedding, I had no doubt that I’d be in good hands. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out (over a week), we felt welcomed and taken care of…and special. Every detail was attended to by Angela and the rest of the staff and our guests all commented on the high level of service. It goes without saying the resort is beautiful but we feel it was the staff that made this event a true success. Angela went far above the call of duty to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay and our wedding and I honestly could not find one area where there was need for improvement. I thought you should know how happy we were with our event and honestly, I wish we could get married again just so we could host it with you again! I’ve thanked Angela personally but wanted to share our feedback because it really was a stellar experience.

I recently held my Wedding at the Lodge on August 27, and I can honestly say it was “perfect”. (I am extra critical because I am in the Event Planning industry myself). Every step along the way from booking the venue, to the actual day was an easy, flawless process.

The staff is absolutely incredible, and would do anything for their guests. They greet you by name with a smile, and take excellent care of you no matter your request. Anthony and Austin make sure from the moment you pull up that you are warmly welcomed, and will make sure your belongings (even my 2 cart fulls!!!) makes it to your room and is unloaded in a caring and organized manner.

Jennifer Fitzpatrick, Sales & Catering Coordinator, spent countless hours with me planning this perfect Wedding weekend. Jennifer was very professional and really knows what she is doing – by listening to my ideas/suggestions and also sharing what works best at their facility. She made me feel very calm and confidant every step of the way. Shelly and her staff in the Mirador restaurant made sure our Reception was exactly as I would have wanted it to be, and went way above and beyond any expectations I had regarding the whole event. She event color coordinated her outfit to match my special day!

Nicki and her staff made our After Party so amazing. Nicki has the best attitude and is very accommodating, a true example of an excellent hospitality professional. Marleen, Reservations Manager, took care of my guests staying at the hotel, who received an excellent group rate. She helped me rearrange rooms, handed out welcome bags and even let me extend my reservation at the same discounted rate.

If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend you try the Cordillera Suite. It’s simply beautiful, comfortable and makes you feel at home with a Colorado Mountain flair. This room is HUGE and worked well for family/friends to gather in, and also for the day of for the girls to do hair/make up. The guest rooms all have incredible views, are extremely clean, and the beds are VERY comfortable. The housekeeping staff is excellent, and event put my fake flower petals sitting on the floor in a “heart” shape on the comforter after making my bed. Steve Janicek, General Manager, runs an incredible facility, and I would recommend it highly to any family/friends!

If you are even considering a Wedding, this is the perfect mountain setting… it’s a little off the beaten path, but offers everything you could dream of and more.

I arranged a client event at the Cordillera this July (2011). I have worked with numerous hotels in the past but this was my first experience with Cordillera and I was so excited to work with them. Upon my arrival at the venue in Edwards, Colorado I found that the hotel and location were absolutely beautiful!! The staff was friendly, fast, and efficient. My event had several last minute changes and the staff at Cordillera worked quickly to meet our needs in the midst of our last minute changes and continued to be friendly and calm. The people at Cordillera were hands down the friendliest and most accommodating of any hotel I have ever worked with – I have never worked with a better team! Thanks again!

My company’s annual executive meeting was the first major event I had to plan in my new position. I want to thank you both so very much for making the Group Executive Seminar a huge success. I heard nothing but compliments and I received two big “thumbs up” from both of my bosses. As I probably mentioned, I received this assignment after being on the job for one month. You can imagine how nervous I was, especially not knowing the people involved or the expectations of the event. You both, along with Debbie, the ski guides, everyone…made it all work. Everyone went the extra mile. I also learned a very valuable lesson: Trust people to do their jobs and they will come through! This has given me confidence as I tackle our huge trade show in Vegas.
